Rogall Tax Consultancy introduces Somotoo!
Rogall tax consultancy, based in Neuwied, Germany, made the decision to introduce Somotoo to support its nationwide business activities.
The consultancy’s clients are highly diverse, ranging from private individuals and small businesses through to mid-sized companies of various legal forms as well as branch offices of international corporations. The key driver for introducing Somotoo was to add additional security features that complement the employed tax consulting software from Addison (formerly Wago Curadata) and thus ensure better protection of the highly confidential client information.
The consultancy’s owner, Mr. Hartmut Rogall, comments: “I had been looking for a suitable security solution like Somotoo for a long time. Swiss Distrelec Adds Somotoo to Official Portfolio
Switzerland’s largest catalog supplier of computer/software products for small and medium-sized businesses has decided to include the Somotoo Efficiency Suite in its product portfolio. This now allows customers of Distrelec to obtain Somotoo directly from their favored provider. On-site introductions, available as an option, are performed by Somotoo specialists from select local partners.

Sanitätshaus Wittlich GmbH. The 16 sales offices of the Wittlich Group headquartered in BendorflRhine, Germany, are firmly established throughout the Northern Rhineland-Palatinate und in parts of Hessen. in the covered regions, Wittlich is the leading provider of sanitary products, orthopedic technology und orthopedic shoe technology, rehabilitation technology, und further segments. The company was founded in 1983 und presently has 135 qualified employees working in the various business units. In the summer of 2009, Sanitätshaus Wittlich was one of the first customers to introduce the Somotoo Efficiency Suite throughout all subsidiaries. We wanted to know what changed on an organizational level und whether the technology met the initial expectations. ‘Computer Troubleshooters’ Austria Launches Sales of Somotoo Products
Taking the lead among Computer Troubleshooters’ 28 regional subsidiaries, the Austrian branch of the international franchise chain has begun to actively sell Somotoo products.
Computer Troubleshooters is one of the globally fastest growing IT franchise chains mainly focusing on small and medium-sized businesses in addition to demanding private customers. At present, it has more than 500 international branches. The company was founded in 1999 by Mr. Chip Reaves, who until then had turned CHIPTECH into one of the US’s leading IT support companies for medium-sized businesses.

Again data theft in the banking industry
According to the latest media coverage (Financial Times Germany), it appears that again a bank has to experience data theft of crucial customer data. This time the victim seems to be the HSBC Private Bank in Geneva (Switzerland).
By simply burning a data CD, many security mechanisms of banks already seem to fail. By not having closed this security breach (data interfaces like USB etc.) many confidential customer data has already reached the public in the past. In the current case the „owner“ of the data is offering the CD to the German Financial Authorities. The demanded price is 2,5 Million Euro (3.47 Million USD).
According to the news, the CD provides data of more than 1000 German citizens that might have evaded taxes in the past.
